Red
Castelletto
By Giovanni Manzone, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
A complex, balanced Barolo from the Castelletto MGA, the historic core of the family's vineyards. First produced in 1961, aged about 3 years in cask plus a few months in concrete before bottling during waning moon.
Tasting notes
Ruby red with garnet notes of medium intensity, the nose is elegant and intense with raspberry, wild fruit and tobacco. The palate is warm and pleasant, with good tannic balance and a sapid finish.
