Red
Valbianchéra
By Giovanni Almondo, Roero, Piemonte, Italy
Barbera from the family's oldest vines, first planted in the early 1900s; Stefano and Federico Almondo are the fourth generation to work this plot.
Tasting notes
A deep, almost impenetrable red; aromas of cherry, blackberry, blackcurrant and pepper, with a balance of rich body and pleasant acidity and a persistent finish.
