Giovanni Abrigo Ravera

A single-vineyard Barolo, 100% Nebbiolo from the MGA Ravera in Novello, aged 20 to 24 months in oak before further bottle ageing.

Tasting notes

Brilliant garnet red. Aromas of ripe cherry, wild strawberry and dried flowers, with citrus peel and sweet spice over a subtle earthy note. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, enveloping and round, with silky, fine-grained tannins and a long, spicy finish.

Pairs well with

Boiled, braised and roast meats, game and mature cheeses; also tried with dark chocolate.

Racking and spontaneous malolactic fermentation follow in steel. Aged 20 to 24 months in oak barrels, then further in bottle before release.
