Coste della Sesia Nebbiolo
By Giancarlo Travaglini, Alto Piemonte, Piemonte, Italy
Coste della Sesia DOC Nebbiolo, from vineyards in the Coste della Sesia zone around Gattinara.
Tasting notes
Visually: bright ruby red colour with hints of garnet. Olfactory: a bouquet that gradually opens on earthy undergrowth tones, ripe fruit, incense and wild flowers, with almost iron-like mineral hints. Flavour: fine, with a medium, fresh texture and a marked savouriness that carries into a long finish.
