Tasting notes
Very intense garnet red with ruby reflections; aromas of liquorice and jam. Large structure and soft, delicate on the palate.

- Destemmed and crushed, fermented in steel with selected yeasts at 27 to 28 °C for 7 to 10 days with pump-overs and delestage; malolactic in steel. 12 months in barrels and barriques, then a further 12 months in 700-litre French oak tonneaux; 24 months in wood in total, 50% new, medium toast. 14.5% vol, residual sugar about 3 to 4 g/l, total acidity about 6 g/l.
- Storage
- Ageing potential 15 years (the producer says it can last up to 20); also in 1.5 and 3 litre formats. Decant at least an hour before serving.
