Brunate
By Elio Altare, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
Elio Altare's single-vineyard Barolo from the Brunate cru in La Morra, made in 1,200 to 1,500 bottles from vines aged 20 to 90 years; the site states the last vintage produced was 2011.
Tasting notes
Intense ruby red with garnet reflections. Elegant aromas of small red fruits, floral and very fruity. Warm, of great elegance, with soft tannins and a lingering note of violet and dog rose.
