Barolo Fossati
By Dosio Vigneti, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
Dosio's Barolo Fossati was the first wine to carry the Fossati vineyard name on its label, in 1982; being a warmer, limestone-soil site, it is a more nervy Barolo in youth that gains character with age.
Tasting notes
Garnet red, with aromas of violet and cherry evolving into light notes of cocoa, hay and leather; dry and well-rounded, with a good balance between acidity and the noble tannins of Nebbiolo.
Pairs well with
Braised meats, red meats, aged cheeses, game
