Red
Vespolina
By Davide Carlone, Alto Piemonte, Piemonte, Italy
A varietal Vespolina under the Colline Novaresi DOC, briefly macerated on the skins and released about eight months after harvest.
Tasting notes
Bright red. An intriguing combination of dark spices, pepper, cardamom, cloves and ginger, with redcurrant, blueberry and raspberry and subtle, delicate iris notes. Fresh and savoury on the palate with a spicy finish.
Pairs well with
Ideal with meat and vegetable dishes with a strong flavour. Also excellent paired with mature cheeses.
