White
Mariapia
By Davide Carlone, Alto Piemonte, Piemonte, Italy
A short-macerated white from an indigenous local grape, grown in Prato Sesia under the Colline Novaresi DOC Bianco, released four months after harvest.
Tasting notes
Straw yellow. Marked by a pronounced freshness, with perfumes of small white mountain flowers, followed by crisp fruit, yellow fruit and citrus, and a toasted almond finish. A fragrant white, its fine sapidity making it elegant and easy to drink.
Pairs well with
Starters, first courses, fish, white meats and mild cheeses.
