Red
Croatina
By Davide Carlone, Alto Piemonte, Piemonte, Italy
A 100% Croatina red under the Colline Novaresi DOC, macerated on the skins for about 8 days and aged 18 months in steel before release.
Tasting notes
Very intense, bright ruby red that pleases the eye. Intense on the nose with hints of ripe red plum, a delicate spicy note and a slight scent of medicinal herbs. Rich and savoury on the palate with a light minerality, tasty and persistent, rightly balanced in acidity and tannin.
Pairs well with
Ideal with cured meats and semi-mature cheeses. Also excellent with strongly flavoured meats.
