Red
Meje
By Cerutti, Asti, Piemonte, Italy
A young, lightly sparkling red bottled by tradition under the new moon of March, named after meje (wheat in Piedmontese dialect) and the refreshment farmhands took after the wheat harvest.
Tasting notes
Fruity on the nose, led by cherry and blackberry, fresh and easy-drinking thanks to its gentle sparkle.
Pairs well with
Ideal for a merenda sinoira (Piedmontese afternoon snack), with bread and salami, savoury green tart and formaggetta cheese.
