Red
Gavius
By Castello di Gabiano, Monferrato, Piemonte, Italy
A Barbera and Pinot Nero blend from the vineyards of Gabiano and Zoalengo, aged in the castle's underground cellars.
Tasting notes
Colour: lively ruby red with violet reflections. Bouquet: intense and persistent, with hints of red fruit, redcurrant and, in the finish, fine woods. Taste: blackberry, freshness, flavour, softness and light notes of fine wood; a blend that brings out Barbera's typical character together with Pinot Nero's fruit.
Pairs well with
Red meat dishes, mushrooms and truffles, medium-aged cheeses.
