White
Corte
By Castello di Gabiano, Monferrato, Piemonte, Italy
A single-varietal Sauvignon Blanc aged on its fine lees at low temperature. The label reproduces a page from a 15th-century manuscript in the Cattaneo Adorno family's private library.
Tasting notes
Colour: a light straw yellow with slight greenish reflections. Nose: expressive and dynamic, with citrus, tropical fruit, tomato leaf and evergreen boxwood, recalling the scent of the castle's labyrinth. Taste: dry, fresh and savoury, with a warmth from the alcohol and a pleasant structure and persistence.
Pairs well with
Fish-based dishes and white meats; also good as an aperitif.
