Red
A Matilde Giustiniani
By Castello di Gabiano, Monferrato, Piemonte, Italy
The estate's Riserva, dedicated to Princess Matilde Giustiniani who restored the castle, made only in the best vintages from a historic estate vineyard with notable ageing potential.
Tasting notes
Colour: very intense ruby red with deep, orange reflections. Bouquet: intense and persistent, very fine and complex, with fruity hints of small, ripe wild red fruit, balsamic notes, fine chocolate, pepper and tobacco. Taste: complexity emerges with an evolution of the bouquet into ethereal expressions, undergrowth and fruit in alcohol.
Pairs well with
Meat-based dishes, braised meats, aged cheeses.
