Red
I Canonici di Lu
By Casalone, Monferrato, Piemonte, Italy
A single-varietal Grignolino DOC aged a minimum of 40 months in oak tonneaux, made from the best bunches selected in the vineyard.
Tasting notes
Clear ruby red color, with nice garnet, almost amber highlights. Very fine, broad and distinct nose, with nice notes of pepper and raspberry, supported by elegant hints of aromatic herbs such as gentian and wormwood. Rich and structured palate, with present but already fully resolved tannin, nicely persistent with a dry, satisfying finish.
