White
Vallàna
By Cantina Roggero, Monferrato, Piemonte, Italy
A Piemonte DOC Viognier the estate grows partly because, as its home page notes, ampelographic studies show the variety's close kinship with Nebbiolo and Freisa.
Tasting notes
Straw yellow with golden reflections. Fruity aromas of apricot, citrus and exotic fruit. Fresh and savoury on the palate, with good body.
Pairs well with
Works throughout a meal, with fish as well as white meat and vegetable dishes.
