Young Nebbiolo from vineyards in Barolo, aged only in steel and closed with glass. The poppy on the label refers to the flower that turns the hills red in June.
Tasting notes
Primary aromas of rose, violet and orange-peel citrus; fresh on the palate and fairly ready to drink.
Pairs well with
Lighter summer menus, and also fish.

- Planted 1991, 3,700 vines/ha at 1 m x 2.7 m, Guyot-trained trellis, K5BB rootstock, yield about 7,000 kg/ha.
- Vinification
- Made to respect freshness and elegance. Fermentation with maceration lasts 6 to 10 days; the still cloudy wine is then held at about 18 to 20 C for malolactic fermentation. Aged only in steel and bottled in spring. Closed with a glass stopper only; the label shows a poppy.
- Storage
- Stands up to some ageing but best enjoyed relatively young.
