Taliano Michele
Azienda Agricola Taliano Michele is based in Montà d'Alba, in the Roero, with vineyards it owns in the Roero and in the Barbaresco area at San Rocco Seno d'Elvio (Alba). The estate was founded in 1930 by Domenico Taliano, from a family of farmers known locally by the nickname Re Cit, meaning little kings. In the mid-1970s it expanded into the Langa with vineyards and a farmhouse at Montersino, and in the mid-1990s it acquired further land and renewed its production and aging methods with Michele's sons Ezio, the estate's winemaker, and Alberto. The cellar has since been fully renovated with a new underground section, a tasting room was added in 2017, and since 2019 the estate runs on 100% green energy from its own photovoltaic system.
