Manera Fratelli

Manera Fratelli

Manera is a family farm at San Rocco Seno d'Elvio, five kilometres from Alba, with about 20 hectares of vines spread over four historic farmsteads. Brothers Franco and Luciano, with Franco's wife Maria, began in the 1950s by growing grapes for sale. Winemaking started in 2005, when the next generation, trained as enotechnicians, joined and began bottling around 30,000 bottles a year. The range covers Langhe whites (Arneis, Favorita), Moscato d'Asti, Dolcetto, two Barberas and Nebbiolo from Alba, a Nebbiolo rosé, a Cabernet Sauvignon aged two years in wood, a Barbaresco and an Alta Langa metodo classico. Vineyards follow integrated pest management with organic fertilisers. San Rocco Seno d'Elvio is one of the four communes entitled to the Barbaresco name.
