Ca' Brusà

Ca' Brusà

Ca' Brusà is the family winery of Diego Marengo in Monforte d'Alba, one of the Barolo communes in the Langhe, where the family has tended these vineyards for generations. The cellar makes two Barolo crus from the Bricco San Pietro vineyard, Vigna d'Vai and its long-aged Riserva, alongside a village-level Menico, Barbera d'Alba Superiore Cunca d'Or, Dolcetto d'Alba Vai, Langhe Nebbiolo Briccolino and Langhe Nascetta, with consulting oenologist Piero Ballario overseeing the winemaking. Vineyards average around 30 years old, reaching 45 for the Riserva fruit, on soils of clay, silt and sand. The reds follow submerged-cap maceration with daily pump-overs, then age in small oak barrels before finishing in bottle. Monforte d'Alba sits on one of the higher, more structured sides of the Barolo DOCG zone, among Langhe hills listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage landscape, a short drive from Alba.
