Red
Profondo Rosso
By Mauro Rei, Monferrato, Piemonte, Italy
Barbera from two parcels in the San Grato zone of Sala, aged 36 months in oak and then in bottle.
Tasting notes
Garnet red. Intense, dry, soft and full. Ageing in wood brings riper notes of jam, cherry in spirit and spice.
Pairs well with
Agnolotti al ragù, meat sauces, bollito misto, cooked salami, polenta with sausages, bagna cauda, fritto misto
