Derthona is La Colombera's Timorasso from the Colli Tortonesi, a long-lived white that can age over ten years; the cellar keeps older vintages back to 2006 for sale to restaurants and wine professionals.
Tasting notes
Ageing in bottle brings out intense tertiary fragrances, where mineral and flintstone notes prevail together with resinous and hydrocarbon scents. The wine shows an excellent balance, involving all its components; a robust structure carries the alcohol, giving a remarkable, well-balanced and very persistent body.
