Darmagi
By Gaja, Barbaresco, Piemonte, Italy
Darmagi means "what a shame" in Piemontese dialect, Angelo Gaja's father's reaction on learning that prime Barbaresco land had been planted to Cabernet Sauvignon instead of Nebbiolo.
Tasting notes
Blackcurrant, graphite and cedar on the nose, with firm, polished tannins and a long, structured finish typical of fine Cabernet Sauvignon.
