By Fontanafredda, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy

Fontanafredda Vigna La Rosa

Released for the first time in 1964, Vigna La Rosa was the first single-vineyard Barolo ever bottled, and remains one of four historic vineyards, alongside Vigna San Pietro, Vigna Bianca and Vigna Gallareto, at the heart of the Fontanafredda MGA.

Tasting notes

Vigna La Rosa Barolo DOCG displays a deep garnet color, evolving with age to brick-orange, and offers an opulent nose of dried roses, cherry, truffle, and a hint of spice. The palate is exceptionally elegant and complex, with refined tannins, remarkable structure, and an incredibly long, nuanced finish.
