Vigna Gatinera 84 Mesi Riserva

By Fontanafredda, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy

Fontanafredda Vigna Gatinera 84 Mesi Riserva

The second of four progressive disgorgements (72/84/96/108 months) of Fontanafredda's single-parcel Pinot Nero Alta Langa Riserva, letting the same 2017 harvest be tasted with a longer stretch of lees aging than the base release.

Tasting notes

Golden colour with green highlights; fine, persistent perlage; deep aromas of white-fleshed fruit, toasted nuts and fresh bread, with a longer lees aging giving extra depth than the 72-month release

Pairs well with

Aperitif, richer first courses, shellfish, aged cheeses
