Vigna Gatinera 108 Mesi Riserva

By Fontanafredda, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy

Fontanafredda Vigna Gatinera 108 Mesi Riserva

The longest-aged of the four progressive disgorgements (72/84/96/108 months) of Fontanafredda's single-parcel Pinot Nero Alta Langa Riserva, sharing its 2016 vintage with the 96-month release but showing a further year on the lees.

Tasting notes

Golden colour with green highlights; fine, persistent perlage; deep, toasty aromas of white-fleshed fruit, dried nuts and fresh bread, at its most complex and creamy from the extended lees contact

Pairs well with

Aperitif, richer first courses, shellfish, aged cheeses
