Red
Marne Brune
By Fontanafredda, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
An organic, whole-cluster Nebbiolo d'Alba named for the "marne brune" (brown marls) of its Sant'Agata Fossili soils, with a Ginkgo biloba leaf and fossil on the label nodding to that ancient geology.
Tasting notes
Floral and spiced, with notes of withered rose and geranium; deep and soft on the palate, spiced and well-balanced with vibrant, persistent tannins
Pairs well with
Alba truffle dishes, meat secondi, cured meats and semi-aged cheeses
