A Barbera from the Nizza appellation, aged at least 18 months (6 in wood), at 14.5% vol.
Tasting notes
Colour: deep ruby red turning garnet with age. Nose: intense and persistent, with black cherry and plum evolving into spicy and floral notes; wood ageing adds cocoa and liquorice. Palate: full and harmonious; ageing adds complexity and rich, sweet, velvety tannins.
Pairs well with
Traditional Piedmontese dishes and braised red meats.
