Criolin

Criolin

Criolin is a four-generation family farm in Castagnole delle Lanze, in the Asti hills where the Langhe meet the Monferrato. Claudio Canavero runs vineyard and cellar with his wife Giovanna, pruning more boldly each year to raise the quality of the grapes, and the estate vinifies only fruit from its own vines. The farm is certified vegan and working toward organic certification. The range covers Barbera d'Asti, its Superiore and Nizza, Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato, two Moscato d'Asti bottlings and a Moscato passito, a Nebbiolo rosato called Vualà, a Chardonnay and a Monferrato white. Each label carries a drawing of an animal from the family farm, from the hummingbird on the rosato to the dormouse on the Nizza.
