Cascina Castlèt Vespa

The estate's simplest, most everyday Barbera d'Asti, deliberately left without a separate cuvée name; on the label and in the estate's own materials it goes by the nickname "Vespa", after the 1950s family photo on its label.

Tasting notes

Intense, bright ruby red confirming the wine's freshness and vinosity. Intense, persistent bouquet, pleasantly fruity with floral and fresh-fruit notes. Dry, harmonious, savoury and balanced, a joyful wine for toasting and conviviality. Alcohol 13 to 14% vol.

Pairs well with

An everyday, all-meal wine: starters, first courses, grilled white and red meats, mixed boiled meats, cured meats and lightly aged cheeses.
