Audinaggio
By Cascina Ca'Rossa, Roero, Piemonte, Italy
Roero DOCG from the Valmaggiore MGA in Vezza d'Alba, 100% Nebbiolo aged in French oak barrique. The name Audinaggio, from the Piemontese dialect Autinagia ('small piece of land'), refers to the vineyard plot.
Tasting notes
Intense garnet color. Wide, lively, elegant nose. Good body and structure in the mouth, with scents of jam and spices balanced by vertical acidity. Long, persistent aftertaste with soft tannins.
Pairs well with
Risotto, light mixed fry and truffle-based dishes. Also good with roasts, wild game and aged cheese.
