By Cantina Caldera di Fabrizia Caldera, Monferrato, Piemonte, Italy
Barbera d'Asti DOCG, aged in steel, a multiple award winner at the Douja d'Or and the International Barbera Competition.
Tasting notes
Ruby red with garnet hues, a fine, characteristic aroma recalling cooked fruit that turns ethereal with age; complex, broad, fruity bouquet of blueberry, plum and dried fruit, followed by clove and aromatic herbs and a light smokiness. Dry, well-structured, savoury, full palate.
Pairs well with
Bagna càuda, soups, panissa, boiled meats, semi-hard cheeses and gorgonzola.
