Vigna Vigia
By Bricco Maiolica, Langhe, Piemonte, Italy
Barbera d'Alba Superiore from the Vigna Vigia vineyard in Alba, aged in small oak barrels. The name goes back to a plot bought in 1930.
Tasting notes
Deep ruby with garnet shades. Crisp bouquet of plum and vanilla; full, very soft flavour with good balance and hints of wood. Round and velvety with no acid aftertaste.
Pairs well with
Rich meat dishes such as mixed boiled meats, and fat soft-ripened cheeses
