Agricola Gian Piero Marrone Passione

A Barbera and Nebbiolo blend the estate calls its 'family wine', aged about a year in used barriques.

Tasting notes

Lively ruby with garnet hints that deepen as the glass is tilted. An intense, multifaceted nose of currant, blueberry, cherries in alcohol and ripe red plum, then red rose, geranium and violet, followed by black pepper, cinnamon, oriental spices and a light toasting. It closes with a pleasant almond note.

Pairs well with

Excellent with grilled meats; balanced enough to go with a whole meal.
