Vietti

Vietti

In business on the hill of Castiglione Falletto since the 19th century, Vietti was transformed into a proper wine estate by Mario Vietti starting in 1919, and became a pioneer of single-vineyard Barolo when the Currado family, who married into the estate, began separately bottling individual crus in 1961 — a radical choice at the time now standard across Barolo and Barbaresco. Vietti has long paired winemaking with art: since 1970 well-known artists have designed labels for the estate's "Designer Labels and Manifesto" project each vintage. The Krause family acquired Vietti in 2016, maintaining its range of single-vineyard Barolo alongside Barbera, Arneis, Timorasso and Moscato from across the Langhe, Roero and Monferrato.
