Orlando Abrigo
Orlando Abrigo is a family estate in Treiso, in the heart of the Barbaresco appellation, now run by Giovanni Abrigo, the second generation to bottle under the family name. His father Orlando began working the family land in 1973, after growing up in a household of grape growers, and Giovanni took over the estate in 1988, growing the holding from 3 to 21 hectares. The estate farms two Barbaresco MGA crus in Treiso, Meruzzano and Montersino, plus a single old-vine parcel bottled separately as Rongalio, and Barbera, Dolcetto, Sauvignon and Chardonnay plots in Trezzo Tinella, Neviglie and Neive. A cellar built in 2013 with architect Marco Ferreri, mostly underground, lets the wines move by gravity through vinification, ageing and bottling. Treiso sits at the highest elevation of the four Barbaresco communes, on pale, limestone-rich marl.

- D'Amblé: Vino Varietale, Sauvignon 100%, White. A varietal Sauvignon from two estate parcels, one in Treiso and a cooler, north-east facing plot in Trezzo Tinella. The label carries no DOC or DOCG designation.
- Dell'Erto: Dolcetto d'Alba DOC, Dolcetto 100%, Red. A classic Langhe Dolcetto from the Erto vineyards next to the cellar in Treiso.
- Indigeno: Langhe DOC Nascetta, Nascetta 100%, White. A varietal Nascetta, an indigenous Langhe grape that has gained renewed respect in recent years in a territory known for its great reds.
- Meruzzano: Barbaresco DOCG, Nebbiolo (Lampia) 100%, Red. The second-largest MGA by extension in the Barbaresco appellation, farmed as four separate estate parcels (Settevie, Cesca, Maccia, Vigna Grande) totalling about 3.7 hectares of Nebbiolo.
- Mervisano: Barbera d'Alba DOC Superiore, Barbera 100%, Red. Selected from the best lots of old vines bordering the Barbaresco territory, in the Roreto locality spanning Trezzo Tinella and Neviglie. The estate describes it as an important Barbera with strong ageing potential.…
- Montersino: Barbaresco DOCG, Nebbiolo (Lampia) 100%, Red. From the Montersino MGA in Treiso, described by 19th-century agronomist Lorenzo Fantini as a site of particular value in his 1879 monograph on viticulture in the province of Cuneo.

- Rongalio: Barbaresco DOCG Riserva, Nebbiolo (Lampia) 100%, Red. Made only in the best vintages, from the oldest and most valued vines in the Meruzzano Mention. Sold as Riserva since the 2011 vintage. The 2-hectare Rongalio parcel is vinified in three separate portions, from the…
- Rorreto: Barbera d'Alba DOC, Barbera 100%, Red. A Barbera blended from parcels in Trezzo Tinella and Neviglie, separate from the estate's Mervisano bottling.
- Settevie: Langhe DOC Nebbiolo, Nebbiolo 90-95%, Barbera 5-10%, Red. Named after Settevie, the hamlet where the winery stands, meaning the meeting point of seven roads. A modern-style blend of Nebbiolo from the Settevie, Trezzo Tinella and Roreto areas with a small share of Barbera.
- Trés Plus: Langhe DOC, Chardonnay 80%, Nascetta 20%, White. The estate's most French-influenced wine, a nod to the family's ties across the nearby border and to Louis Odard, the first winemaker to work in the Langa since the 1800s.
- Valmaggiore: Nebbiolo d'Alba DOC, Nebbiolo (Lampia) 100%, Red. From steep, sandy vineyards in the Valmaggiore cru of the Roero, low-yielding and too steep for machinery, worked entirely by hand ("Tutto a mano").
