Duilio Dacasto
Dacasto Duilio is a family estate at Agliano Terme, in the Asti hills, farmed by five generations of the same family. Duilio looks after the vineyards with his wife Gabriella and his brother Felice, while their son, who studied viticulture and oenology, works in the cellar and sells the wines. The eight hectares are mostly Barbera, split between Frazione Salere in the south of the commune, on calcareous marl, and Frazione Vianoce in the north, where marl mixes with clay and potassium. Small plots of Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Arneis complete the picture. The range runs from a steel-aged Barbera d'Asti made since 1983 to the oaked Camp Riond and Forestiero, plus a Metodo Classico rosé, a Barbera rosato, an Arneis white and a barrique-fermented Chardonnay. Agliano Terme sits inside the Barbera d'Asti zone, in the Monferrato hills of Asti province.
