- Soil
- Calcareous blue marl, a smooth texture of about half silt with the rest sand and clay; sand rises from 24% at the top of the vineyard to 30% at the bottom
- Vineyard planting
- Vines planted in 1955, 1961 and 1999 (vineyard page lists 1951, 1961, 1989 and 1999)
- Vinification
- Fermentation in concrete for around 12 to 14 days, then 12 to 15 days of post-fermentative maceration, about 4 weeks of total skin contact. Malolactic in oak, then around 20 months in 52 hl and 25 hl Garbellotto oak barrels, a few months in concrete, steel and plastic, and bottling usually in July-August of the year before release.
