Red
Sass Russ
By Podere ai Valloni, Alto Piemonte, Piemonte, Italy
An organic everyday red from the estate's own grapes, suited to an aperitif or a full meal, and good served cool.
Tasting notes
Ruby red. Fruity nose of red fruit and spice (mineral and balsamic touches in the 2023 sheet). Good savouriness and acidity that reflect the soil, present but gentle tannin, good balance and persistence.
Pairs well with
Cured meats and typical local cheeses; also first courses and lighter meat dishes. Suited to all meals and to drinking cool in summer
