Red
Gratus
By Podere ai Valloni, Alto Piemonte, Piemonte, Italy
The first certified organic wine in the Boca area, mostly Nebbiolo with Vespolina. A harmonious, well-structured red aged in oak.
Tasting notes
Intense ruby red. Complex, fruity nose with macerated cherry, rose petals, red orange and white pepper (2020 sheet); raspberry and the peppery note of Vespolina (2018 sheet). Tannin present but not dominant, balanced, elegant and persistent.
Pairs well with
Cured meats and typical local cheeses, spiced starters; also risotto and savoury meat dishes
