Red
Péperi
By Podere ai Valloni, Alto Piemonte, Piemonte, Italy
An organic everyday red made only from the estate's own grapes, fresh and peppery with a saline finish.
Tasting notes
Intense ruby red. Fairly complex nose with clear peppery spice and floral notes (cherry, lavender, sage and white pepper in the 2023 sheet). Fresh palate with a saline finish and returning spice; present but gentle tannin, good balance and persistence.
Pairs well with
Cured meats and typical local cheeses, spiced starters
