Red
Boca Vigna Cristiana
By Podere ai Valloni, Alto Piemonte, Piemonte, Italy
The estate's first wine and a historic Boca blend of Nebbiolo, Vespolina and Uva Rara, aged in large oak. Long-lived, it can stay in form for over twenty years.
Tasting notes
Garnet red. Complex nose of red fruit, spice and coffee, with the spiciness of Vespolina and volcanic soil notes. Firm but elegant tannins, long persistence and freshness despite age. The 2020 sheet adds macerated cherry, tobacco, cedar and red orange.
Pairs well with
Risotto, first courses, savoury meat dishes, game, cured meats and aged cheeses
