Red
Assolo
By Olivero Mario, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
A pure Merlot from the Fontanassa vineyard in Roddi, planted in 2016 and aged 18 months in French oak. The producer calls it a Merlot that tastes of the Langhe.
Tasting notes
Intense ruby red with garnet reflections. Delicate herbs, spices and toasted hazelnut over a very persistent fruit. Rich and enveloping entry, with a finely tannic finish and the grape's typical spice.
