A Barbera d'Alba from the Campass plot within the Serraboella cru, aged in French oak barrique with about 20% new wood. First made in 2000.
Tasting notes
This Barbera d'Alba shows a deep ruby red, with an intense bouquet of black cherry, vanilla, and a touch of toasted oak. The palate is full-bodied and structured, with firm tannins and a long, spicy finish. [Profiles: bold, fruity, spicy, structured, tannic, complex]
Pairs well with
Roasts and grilled white and red meats, pasta with meat sauces, risottos and soups, medium-aged cheeses, cured meats.
