Red
Brunate
By Damilano, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
Barolo from the Brunate MGA in La Morra (originally 'Brinate'), whose calcium-rich soil gives finesse. Tobacco, rose and liquorice emerge with age, and truffle in great vintages.
Tasting notes
Colour: Garnet red with orange reflections. Bouquet: Intense, with notes of violet, balsamic hints and small red berries, plus clove, cinnamon and nutmeg when young. Palate: Intense, elegant and persistent, with nuances of red fruit, tobacco and liquorice, and truffle and cinnamon with age.
