Castello di Verduno Basadone

Pelaverga from Verduno, where the variety has been grown since the 1600s; the name is the local word for wild poppy.

Tasting notes

Bright ruby red. Intense, fragrant nose with spicy overtones of black pepper and nutmeg and fruit recalling cherries in spirit and strawberries. Nicely balanced, with a lingering dry finish.
