Campo dei Buoi
By Costa di Bussia, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
A Barolo from the single historic vineyard Campo dei Buoi, already named in the 1874 purchase deed. Aged 30 months in large Slavonian oak.
Tasting notes
Ruby red with garnet reflections; marked balsamic note among evolved fruit and floral aromas, with exotic spice, mint and well-integrated vanilla. Intense, with silky tannins and very long persistence ending on eucalyptus and rhubarb.
Pairs well with
Large game, traditional Piedmontese main courses, aged cheeses.
