Red
Primordio
By Amelio Livio, Monferrato, Piemonte, Italy
Ruchè from Grana, the wine that marks the beginning for sisters Arianna and Daniela Amelio. A rare red from clay soils on sunny hillsides.
Tasting notes
Ruby red with purple shades, with violet reflections when young that turn to bright orange with time. Fine, persistent bouquet of ripe cherry and apricot, with hazelnut, compote, blackberry and raspberry. Soft, velvety taste with robust structure and a rich alcoholic content.
Pairs well with
Seasoned cheeses, roasts and game
