Vantrin
By Agostino Bosco, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
Dolcetto d'Alba from south-west-facing clay-limestone vineyards at about 400 m, 70% of them around 50 years old, made and aged in steel.
Tasting notes
Ruby red with deep violet tinge. Elegant, pronounced nose with fruity scents, cherry in particular. Firmly structured and harmonious, with adequate acidity and a pleasantly bitterish finish. Early-drinking: within 3 years of the vintage, best after 1 to 2.
