Red
Neirane
By Agostino Bosco, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
Barolo from Neirane, a cru in Verduno on the La Morra border, facing south-west at about 350 m on loose, sandy soil, aged 25 to 26 months in large Slavonian oak.
Tasting notes
Garnet red of good intensity. Clear aromas of plum and small fruits, light touches of liquorice and spice. Good body and harmonious, with a slight tannic edge that points to a long life. The site adds for Neirane: floral notes of violet and red fruit and a marked elegance from the sandy soil.
